Team 1- Alive in Christ! Focus on Worship and Christian Education
Tasks: * Designing engaging, inspiring and inviting Worship *Ensuring Christian Ed that forms Disciples of Christ from cradle to the grave *Attention to Church liturgical calendar *Overseeing tasks of sacrament preparation and changing of paraments *Team will meet weekly and report to Council monthly
Team Leaders: Pastor Gloria Winston Harris & Music Minister Chris Dodson Team Members: Any interested in how worship and Christian education forms us as Disciples of Christ
Team 2 – Embracing Diversity Focus on cultivating a culture of inclusion for all God’s children
Tasks: * To increase the congregation’s awareness and understanding of diverse groups (i.e. religious, cultural, racial, socio economic, sexuality and gender related issues) * To help the congregation reach out to diverse populations in our Community * Team Leader will meet with pastor bi-weekly and report to Council monthly Team Leader: Melody Ivins mivins@bellsouth.net Team Members: Any interested in diversity related issues and the call of Christ to welcome and love all people
Team 3 – Building Community Focus on building Christian Community that promotes Christian relationships and fosters the formation of Christian Discipleship
Tasks: * Formation of small groups, Bible studies and support groups for various ages and interests * Offering of fellowship opportunities * Meals and support for those who are sick or grieving * Team leader(s) will meet with pastor bi-weekly and report to Council monthly
Team Leader: Team Members: Any interested in building transforming Christian community.
Team 4 – Serving the World Focus on living out faithful Christian discipleship in service to others.
Tasks: * To engage disciples in mission and outreach * To foster a culture and identity of service and mission rather than individual, disconnected mission projects * To form Disciples of Christ as we serve others * Team Leader(s) will report to pastor bi-weekly and to Council monthly
