SUNDAY

Amity Youth Fellowship Program- The Amity Youth Group meets regularly every Sunday evening from 5 to 6:30 pm.  Stay tuned to the weekly Happenings for updates on youth activities and events. TUESDAY 

Holy Communion &
 Sacred Prayer - Please join Pastor Gloria for Holy Communion every Tuesday morning at 11:30 in the Sanctuary.  This will be an opportunity to come together each week as a church family to receive Holy Communion.  Then at noon following Holy Communion, there will  This will be a sacred time of prayer where we can share our joys and prayer concerns as we move forward on this faith journey together.

UUMC Pastors’ Bible Study - This long-standing tradition continues with weekly meetings on Tuesdays from 10-11am in the Amity UMC Fellowship Hall. Rev. Carl King will be the primary leader of this Bible study that will focus on the lectionary readings for each week. All are welcome.  Call 919-929-7191 to learn more.

Beginnings Bible Study - For anyone who wants to learn more about the Christian faith and make new friends.  Each weekly gathering will begin with a meal and a chance to get to know others in small groups where everyone is invited to share their opinions and to ask questions. WEDNESDAY

UUMC Women’s Bible Study: Women of all ages are invited to join us for the fifth year of our study, led by Rev. Delores Langley. It meets Wednesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. starting Sept. 12 in the Amity UMC fellowship hall.  Childcare is provided.   Call 919-929-7191 for info.

tering Prayer, Wednesdays, 6:00—7:00p.m. Those who participate in centering prayer find contemplation makes us more aware of God, our own needs and the needs of others as we focus on the living Christ around us and inside our very minds. Prayer in silence is just as effective and worshipful as vocal praying, but requires education, training and practice. To learn more, talk to Margaret Moore, Nancy Sturdivant or Pastor Tuck Taylor.  Please join us as we share in prayer.

THURSDAY

Amity UMC Men's Bible Study  meets each week from 12:30-1:30 with lunch provided (donations are accepted). The group will take a break for the month of July and resume the second Thursday in August.  The group is led by Albert Long and Dannie Lotz, former Tarheel greats.  Contact Roger Shumate for additional information.  rcshumate@cs.com.
